José Cisneros Pérez serves as LatinxEd’s Fellowship Manager with a passion for creating inclusive and transformative learning experiences. A proud North Carolinian, immigrant, and DACA beneficiary, José’s journey fuels his commitment to educational equity and leadership development. He began his career as a middle school teacher in Dallas through the ACE Teaching Fellows program, an experience that shaped his equity-driven approach to education. A first-generation college graduate, José earned his bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and an M.Ed. from the University of Notre Dame. Today, he continues to build pathways for Latine leaders to grow, connect, and drive meaningful change across North Carolina.
