Raised in both California and North Carolina, Genesis Lopez is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants and a first-generation college graduate. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at UNC Chapel Hill, with a focus on Community Management and Policy Practice. Joining the Community Impact team, Genesis brings hands-on experience through direct practice with Latine immigrant individuals and families in North Carolina. With a strong belief in the power of collective change and equity, Genesis hopes to advocate for our community on all levels.
