Carolina Cortez is a proud Mexicana from Estado de México, raised in Graham, NC, and serves as LatinxEd’s Community Impact Coordinator. As the daughter of immigrants and a first-generation college graduate of Emory University, where she studied Psychology and Political Science, Carolina brings both lived experience and a deep commitment to education equity into her work. She has supported community-centered initiatives with organizations like Siembra NC and El Futuro, building meaningful relationships and leading outreach efforts across Latine communities. Carolina is passionate about creating spaces that are culturally responsive, community-rooted, and grounded in care.
