On January 29, La Gira opens at The Maxwell Center in Goldsboro with a day built around Eastern North Carolina: its people, its schools and the leadership already at work here. What does leadership, opportunity and belonging look like in the communities we call home?
We’ll start with fresh data on how the region is changing, then hear from Eastern North Carolina educators, community college leaders and nonprofit voices about what they wish more people understood. In the afternoon, Eastern NC Fellows lead listening sessions on what matters most here, and we leave with a shared sense of where we go next.
Spend the day learning alongside people from across the education ecosystem. We’ll explore the education landscape in Eastern North Carolina, hear from local leaders and organizations, exchange ideas and consider how we can better support students and families.
Arrive, pick up your badge and grab a coffee.
